Stephen E. Sulzbach, DMD

Dr. Sulzbach is committed to keeping up with the latest technical knowledge and advancements in dentistry to incorporate his hands-on experience into comprehensive patient care.

Dr. Stephen Sulzbach’s approach to dental care is rooted in the belief that patient empowerment is vital. He advocates for a collaborative relationship between the patient and the doctor, where the doctor presents treatment options, and the patient, armed with knowledge, chooses the best path for their health. This mutual understanding and collaboration pave the way for a comprehensive treatment plan, leading the patient toward a lifetime of optimal health.

Dr. Sulzbach’s journey in dentistry is deeply personal. As a Pennsylvania native, he was raised in Quakertown, and his commitment to his community is driven by compassion, education, and personal experience. His decision to specialize in chronic head and facial pain disorders and sleep apnea was inspired by the suffering he witnessed in his family and friends. This personal connection to his work instills a sense of trust and empathy in his patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Sulzbach is a proud member of several civic and charitable organizations, including the Shriners. He enjoys vegetable gardening, fishing, and spending quality time with his wife, Alissa, and their five children.

Dr. Sulzbach is the first and only dentist in Pennsylvania to hold dual fellowships and diplomates in treating craniofacial pain disorders and dental sleep medicine. He’s one of just three dentists in Pennsylvania to be double board-certified in dental sleep medicine. He is among the most highly credentialed general dentists in the United States.

Dr. Sulzbach’s commitment to his patients goes beyond the treatment room. He is dedicated to staying at the forefront of dental advancements, ensuring that his patients receive the highest quality of care. His more than 1,000 hours of continuing education, completed alongside some of the best dental educators in the country, is a testament to his unwavering commitment to comprehensive patient care.

Personal Mission

Dr. Sulzbach’s primary goal is to serve as a resource for informed dental opinions to help patients make fully educated decisions about their care and treatment. He dispels the myth that medicine and dentistry are separate entities. When dentistry is viewed as a part of the greater whole of healthcare, dentistry can save and change lives. Today’s research makes it abundantly clear that diseases that negatively affect the mouth affect the entire body and vice versa.
